The RITZ MELODIA HOTEL ORCHESTRA is a 9-13 piece salon orchestra that performs in the tradition of the historical "Palm Court" groups of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These orchestras created a huge following by performing for "tea dances" on hotel rooftops, for silent movies, variety shows, and aboard cruise ships. One of the most famous salon ensembles was the ill-fated group that played as the Titanic sank.

Ritz Melodia has several unique theme shows to choose from:

* Latin
* Viennese
* Late 19th century "Follies"
* Wild Gypsy Gala
* The very exciting "Game-Show" where a wheel is spun and
   surprise soloists and instruments are featured.
* Particularly enjoyable is the orchestra's Grand Finale with
   conga line audience participation.

Ritz Melodia is made up of members of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, all with varied backgrounds and surprising versatility. With such wide-ranging talents, they are able to provide a marvelous evening from the cocktail hour with a string quartet, to a staged show with full orchestra, and ending with a jazz combo providing danceable standards.

The RITZ MELODIA HOTEL ORCHESTRA has enlivened parties, conventions, fundraisers, and special festivals throughout the Okanagan since 1994. Take your event up a level with this unique group of performers!
