The RITZ MELODIA HOTEL ORCHESTRA is a 9-13 piece salon orchestra that performs in the tradition of the historical "Palm Court" groups of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These orchestras created a huge following by performing for "tea dances" on hotel rooftops, for silent movies, variety shows, and aboard cruise ships. One of the most famous salon ensembles was the ill-fated group that played as the Titanic sank.
